As a member of our Monarch Family, we want to highlight some of the college services and resources that are available to help you be more successful this Spring.

Join Your CAP Canvas Site

Check Career & Academic Pathways to find your CAP Canvas Site for your selected major, and stay connected with the people, places, and 91快活林 resources that will support you. (This is not a class. There are no grades and no homework!)


Get Your Student ID 

Stop by Admissions & Records to get your Student ID Card! Pay for your classes and show your Registration/Fee Receipt to obtain a Student ID in the 91快活林 Admissions & Records Office (Student Services Center, 1st Floor). 


Academic Counseling & Career Support 

Counseling鈥- Counselors can help identify your educational goal and make sure you take the right classes.鈥 

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)鈥- Provides support services, specialized instruction and educational accommodations.鈥 

Career/Transfer Center鈥- Learn about transfer opportunities and career preparation resources.鈥 


Academic Support & Library Resources

The 91快活林 Academic Resource Center offers FREE online and in-person tutoring in English, Math, Statistics 101, and many other subjects. Additional services include weekly workshops, test reviews, study jams, self-instructional handouts, and access to computers and printing through the Computer Commons.

The  offers in-person book checkout, study space, and research help; and online access to FREE live help at 鈥淎sk A Librarian,鈥 online research and reading materials, and FAQ and online 鈥淕et Research Help鈥 guides for self-directed learning.


Campus Life & Health Services 

Student Life鈥- Participate in campus activities, join a student club, or find鈥痑 leadership position in鈥痵tudent government (Associated Student Union).鈥 

Student Health Center鈥- Access medical and behavioral health care.鈥 


Student Support Programs

  • Basic Needs Center鈥- A dedicated one stop location to support eligible students with food support, housing support and financial support.鈥 
  • Dream Resource Center鈥- Supports undocumented students with counseling, financial support & more.鈥 
  • EOPS鈥- Supports historically underrepresented students with counseling, textbook service, priority registration & more.鈥 
  • First Year Experience (FYE)鈥- Promise students receive academic support and career services to help them be successful in their first two years of college and graduate or transfer. Eligible students鈥痬ay also get free tuition through the LA College Promise, priority registration, access to counselors and success coaches, and鈥痠nternships.鈥 
  • Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) 鈥 Supports students who plan to transfer to a 4-year university as a STEM major.
  • NextUp / Guardian Scholars鈥- Supports current/former foster youth with interactive workshops, counseling and financial support.鈥 
  • Puente鈥- Provides Latinx students with a transfer and degree completion support program through a cohort model.鈥 
  • Rainbow Pride Center鈥- A safe and all-inclusive space open to all students, faculty and staff regardless of their sex, gender identity and/or sexual orientation.鈥 
  • Rising Scholars Program 鈥 Supports system impacted or formerly incarcerated students with enrollment, counseling and other support services. 
  • TRiO鈥- Supports first generation, low-income students with counseling, tutoring, workshops and more.鈥 
  • Umoja/Black Scholars鈥- Provides Afrocentric class cohorts, programming and counseling鈥 
  • Veterans Resource Center鈥- Supports veterans and their families with enrollment, counseling and VA benefits.鈥 

Student Parent Resources 

We also offer the following support programs and resources for students who are parents (student parents):

  • CalWORKs鈥- Supports students who are parents and receive TANF (cash aid).鈥 
  • CARE鈥- Provides supplemental support for single parents that receive cash aid.鈥 
  • Child Development Center鈥- A licensed childcare facility for the children of students, staff, faculty and community.鈥 
  • Family Resource Center鈥- Supports parenting students with workshops, playgroups, and events.鈥 

Food Services鈥 

Monarch Caf茅 (Cafeteria)鈥- Offers daily fresh, made-to-order menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also offers snacks, grab-and-go food, and weekly specials.  

Lion Caf茅鈥 Offers coffee, grab-and-go food items,鈥痑nd snacks.鈥 

鈥 Offers Subway box lunches, grab-and-go food, snacks, candy, cold drinks & ice cream.鈥 

Campus Vending Machines鈥 Grab-and-go prepared foods and snacks, candy, soft drinks, coffee and more.鈥
